MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – WVU head coach Neal Brown delivered both good and bad news on Monday as far as the health of a couple key players.

First off, cornerback Montre Miller, who Brown previously announced could miss an extended period of time, will be out again. Brown then added that he will offer a more detailed update on Miller at a later date. He noted Miller’s return is up to how well he continues to progress.

“He’s not going to play this week. Really, the ball is kind of in his court,” said Brown about Miller’s situation.

As far as the good news, wide receiver Devin Carter should be ready to go on Saturday. Carter was pulled from the Duquesne game during pregame because Brown said he didn’t look good. Carter apparently got banged up in practice last week.

Carter’s absence allowed freshman Hudson Clement to step up in his place. Clement made five receptions for 177 yards and caught three touchdowns in the win over the Dukes. His heroics actually earned him a full scholarship.

None of this is any surprise and will still allow the Mountaineers to be mostly healthy as they enter the biggest game of the season so far.
