Noah Farrakhan

Former WVU guard Noah Farrakhan committed to Hampton on Saturday night, announcing the news on Instagram. Farrakhan, who has one year of eligibility left, completed a visit to Hampton earlier in the week.

”Another door open,” he wrote. Farrakhan’s commitment also comes after he withdrew his name from the NBA Draft on May 31.

Farrakhan, a 6-foot-2 guard, joined West Virginia’s team under former head coach Josh Eilert in August of 2023. Farrakhan could not play for the first nine games of the year due to a transfer waiver. Farrakhan got on the court vs. UMass on Dec. 16, scoring 15 points in his season debut. Farrakhan went on to average 7.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists through 23 games for the Mountaineers.

Prior to WVU, Farrakhan played at Eastern Michigan under head coach Stan Heath for two years. Farrakhan appeared in 31 games for the Eagles, averaging 12.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists. The Hillside, N.J. native shot 43% from the field and 24% from three.

Noah Farrakhan began his collegiate career at East Carolina, committing as a three-star high school recruit. Farrakhan was formerly a five-star recruit at one point while playing at The Patrick School.

Good luck to the young man. Hopefully he can find an offensive system that will teach him to pass and shoot and not dribble the clock down and shoot a poor shot.
He has tons of talent but he doesn’t show it. He has been on very poor teams that don’t pass or run offense. Maybe someone will play him in an actual offense and he will shine
