WVU Women Selected as No. 4 Seed for NCAA Tournament, Will Play Lehigh in Opening Round

The West Virginia women’s basketball team has been selected as a No. 4 seed in the upcoming NCAA tournament and will play No. 13 seed Lehigh in the first round.

No. 17 WVU (21-6, 13-5 Big 12) is coming off of an appearance in the Big 12 championship game on Sunday where the Mountaineers fell to Baylor 76-50. WVU will play Lehigh in the first round of the Hemisfair region of the bracket.

Lehigh (10-5, 7-5 Patriot League) won the Patriot Lague championship on Sunday over Boston University, securing the conference’s automatic bid.
