West Virginia basketball forward Josiah Harris is applying to graduate after his freshman year. Harris is completing his bachelor’s degree this summer and will walk in December.

“Just applied for graduation. God is great,” Harris wrote on Twitter.

Harris is completing his major in communication studies. The Canton, Ohio native earned his associate’s degree as a high school junior and was able to get ahead of his academic schedule coming to WVU. Harris will turn 20 at the end of July.

On the basketball court, Harris is entering his sophomore year athletically. Harris appeared in 17 games averaging 1.8 points in 6.5 minutes as a freshman. Harris scored eight points on 3-of-4 shooting against Texas in Austin back in February. Harris has three years of basketball eligibility remaining.

“You are killing it in the classroom, proud of you,” WVU interim head coach Josh Eilert wrote.
