Youngstown, Ohio Linebacker Receives Offer From Mountaineers

West Virginia has dipped into Youngstown, Ohio to offer Cardinal Mooney linebacker Luke Fulton 6’3″ 215-lbs. Luke was extremely excited to earn the West Virginia offer. He thinks West Virginia is a great program and says, “It would be awesome to play for WVU.” Fulton went on to share his thoughts of the unique 3-3-5 style defense the Mountaineers play, “I really like it, I think as a linebacker I would be able to do a ton of different things.”

Fulton is fond of the Big XII Conference by saying, “Playing in it would be crazy, week in and week out against great teams.”

Fulton is a big linebacker, who has the speed to chase down play makers and the strength to fight through the blocks. His ability to make quick reads and  cover the middle of the field separate him from other linebackers. On film, Fulton appears to be a hard hitter and sure tackler, one that many receivers coming over the middle don’t want to see.

His goals for this upcoming season are to finish undefeated, win a state championship, play at the highest level and become the best leader possible. He molds his game around Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly. A player that sticks out to him from WVU, Karl Joseph.

What matters the most to him in choosing a school are the relationships he has with coaches and getting to know them well will ultimately help him find the most comfortable school for him. Distance from home does matter saying “that’s a huge plus for West Virginia, because having my family close enough to come to every home game would be great!”

Fulton does plan on visiting for a spring practice, but he does not have a top list of schools at this point.
