2023 Safety Caleb Woodson Includes West Virginia in Top 5

On Wednesday night, 2023 safety Caleb Woodson announced his top five schools that he will consider to play for. Woodson included West Virginia, along with Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.

“Blessed to be in this position… TOP 5. Recruitment 100% open,” Woodson wrote on Twitter.

Woodson (6-foot-3, 200 pounds) is a 3-star prospect from Haymarket, VA. Woodson completed his junior season at Battlefield High School as a safety and nickel hybrid.

West Virginia extended an offer to Woodson on Jan. 30. Woodson visited West Virginia during that time, hosted by inside linebackers and special teams coordinator Jeff Koonz. WVU defensive coordinator Jordan Lesley has also led in the recruitment of Woodson.

Woodson has not set a date for his commitment.
