2024 3-Star CB Desman Stephens Making Another Trip to WVU

Desman Stephens II, a three-star cornerback recruit, is head to Morgantown to visit the WVU football program.

Stephens tweeted his excitement about making the trip to West Virginia Friday morning. He captioned his tweet by saying “on my way to the Country Roads! Excited to get down there.” His last visit with WVU was at the end of October.

Stephens is a class of 2024 prospect out of Clarkston High School in Clarkston, Michigan. He’s rated as the number 14 player in Michigan, the 58th best cornerback in the country and number 725 overall recruit in his class nationally, according to 247 Sports’ composite rankings. On3.com also has him as number 14 in the state, but number 62 and 714 otherwise.

The Mountaineers have yet to officially extend an offer to Stephens, but that could certainly happen during or after this visit this weekend.

As far as the offers Stephens already has on the table, those are from Boston College, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Columbia, Eastern Michigan, Louisville, Marshall, Miami (OH), Purdue, Toledo, Western Michigan and Yale. He’s also considering service academies Air Force and Army.

Despite his rankings, the hesitation for WVU to join the mix could possibly be either feeling they’d be arguably the top program for him to consider based on his offers or the fact West Virginia has offered numerous other corners.
