A recently offered safety has WVU football up against five other Power Four School as he prepares to announce his commitment.

Marcus Turpin, listed at 6-foot-3 and 170 pounds out of Baltimore, Md., revealed his commitment date of June 25th. On that day, Turpin will officially pick between Duke, Northwestern, Virginia, Wake Forest and Wisconsin or West Virginia.

“Thank you god for whatโ€™s been achieved and whatโ€™s to come,” wrote Turpin.

A three-star safety and product of Gilman High School, Turpin is rated as among the top 10 2027 prospects in Maryland. He plays both wide receiver and defensive back in high school, but is viewed as a safety at the college level.

West Virginia extended him an offer on April 10. In addition to his current list, Turpin also has offers from Boston College, Buffalo, Delaware, JMU, Michigan State, Syracuse and several others.
