WVU will play Cincinnati on the road in the regular season finale on Saturday afternoon. Let’s take a look at five things to know before the game.

First Matchup: UC Fumbled Game in Morgantown

On Jan. 31, West Virginia defeated Cincinnati 69-65 at home behind Jesse Edwards’ 25 points and 10 rebounds. The Bearcats hit just two field goals in the last six minutes, which was a three-pointer by Simas Lukosius and a layup by Ody Oguama with three seconds left.

Cincinnati won the rebounding battle, while WVU scored more points off turnovers than the opposition, which they’ve struggled with this season.

Dan Skillings Jr. led the way for UC with 15 points and five rebounds on 6-of-19 shooting.

Bearcats Could Give WVU Most Losses in Single Season

West Virginia currently sits at 9-21 (4-13 Big 12). With a loss on Saturday, WVU could record the most losses in a single season in program history with 22.

This team is currently tied with the 2018-19 group that went 15-21.

WVU Trying to Fight Out of Last Place

Heading into Saturday, West Virginia and Oklahoma State are tied for last place in the Big 12, with both sitting at 4-13. OSU holds the tiebreaker over the Mountaineers with a win in late January.

Oklahoma State plays BYU while WVU tries to secure their first road win of the season vs. Cincinnati.

The spread for the WVU-Cincinnati game is currently -11.5 UC. The over/under is set at 145.5.
