Miss Mountaineer baseball? Well, this week you have the chance to checkout former Mountaineer pitcher Kade Strowd at Mon. Co. Ballpark as he will start against the West Virginia Black Bears for the Aberdeen Ironbirds on Friday night.

Strowd was a 12th round pick of the Baltimore Orioles in this years MLB First Year Player Draft and elected to sign to forgo his senior season. He posted a 5-6 record in 2019 with a 4.73 ERA and struck out 87 batters. He’s only made one appearance so far for the Ironbirds striking out two batters in one clean inning of work. Friday will be his first career start.

Although he does not toe the rubber until Friday, there will be an autograph session prior to tonight’s game at Gate C.
