Big 12 Announces Seedings, Schedule for Baseball Conference Tournament

After the conclusion of Saturday’s games, the Big 12 announced the seedings and schedule for the conference tournament.

Kansas (22-8) is the top-seeded team in the 12-team field after clinching its first Big 12 regular season title in program history. The Jayhawks earned a double bye and will play their first game of the Big 12 Tournament on Thursday, May 21 at 12:30 p.m. MST against either No. 8 Baylor, No. 9 BYU or No. 12 Texas Tech.

West Virginia (21-9) earned the second seed and a double bye. The Mountaineers will open the Conference Tournament on Thursday, May 21 at 4:30 p.m. MST against either No. 7 TCU, No. 10 Utah or No. 11 Kansas State.

Arizona State (19-11) secured the No. 3 seed after holding the tiebreaker over UCF due to its 2-1 series win at the beginning of May. The Sun Devils will play No. 6-seeded Cincinnati (17-13) in game eight of the Tournament to begin their postseason. The first pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m. MST on Thursday, May 21.

UCF (19-11) rounds out the top four seeds and will open Thursday’s slate of games against No. 5-seed Oklahoma State (18-12) as the last pair of teams to earn the double bye. The two will square off at 9 a.m. MST on Thursday, May 21.

TCU (17-13) will look to make its return to the Big 12 Tournament final as the No. 7 seed. The Horned Frogs will play the winner between No. 10 Utah and No. 11 Kansas State on Wednesday, May 20 at 8 p.m. MST after earning the single bye.

Baylor (14-16) grabbed the No. 8 seed and the final single bye and will play the winner of game one between No. 9 BYU and No. 12 Texas Tech at 4:30 p.m. MST on Wednesday, May 20.

The Tournament will begin Tuesday, May 19 at 4:30 p.m. MST with No. 9-seeded BYU taking on No. 12-seeded Texas Tech, followed by No. 10-seeded Utah squaring off with No. 11-seeded Kansas State at 8 p.m. MST.

The 2026 Tournament will be played at Surprise Stadium in Surprise, Arizona for the first time and will be a single-elimination format. All-session and single-session tickets for the 2026 Big 12 Baseball Tournament presented by Allstate can be purchased here.
