Bob Huggins Addresses Larry Harrison’s Dismissal on Radio Show

West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins addressed on his weekly radio show the dismissal of associate head coach Larry Harrison. Harrison spent 24 seasons under Huggins during one stint at Cincinnati (1989-97) and one at West Virginia (2007-23).
“I don’t have a lot to say about it because I wasn’t as involved as it’s being portrayed that I was,” Huggins said on Thursday night.

Huggins did release a comment in the original press release stating the departing Harrison.
“I want to thank Larry for his years of service to Mountaineer basketball, and I wish him well in his future endeavors,” Huggins said.
Harrison spent the last 13 seasons as the associate head coach at West Virginia, 24th with Huggins. Harrison was a part of Huggins’ coaching staff at Cincinnati as well.
WVU men’s basketball will conduct an immediate search for Harrison’s replacement. West Virginia currently sits at a 10-6 (0-4 Big 12) record. WVU will travel to Norman, Ok. and take on Oklahoma on Saturday at noon as they look to win their first conference game.
