West Virginia forward Gabe Osabuohien was benched by WVU head coach Bob Huggins after his incident against Oklahoma State over the weekend. Osabuohien didn’t check into the Kansas State game on Monday night.

“We don’t have room in our program for Gabe’s actions. It wasn’t the first time,” Huggins said on Monday night. “I thought that Isaiah [Cottrell] gave us things that Gabe can’t get us.”

At the end of Saturday’s game, Osabuohien was charged with two technicals after running his mouth with the officials. Huggins had some words for Osabuohien as the forward was walking off the floor. Safe to say Huggins was teaching Osabuohien a lesson on Monday night for not playing him.

“It’s about doing the right thing. You don’t do things that hurt your teammates,” Huggins said.

Osabuohien is averaging 4.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.7 blocks in 23 games.
