For the second time today, West Virginia has added a piece to the 2020 recruiting class. Two-way athlete David Okoli of Gaithersburg, MD took to Twitter to make his announcement.

Okoli chose West Virginia over other offers from Buffalo, UConn, East Carolina, Kentucky, Temple and others.

“I chose WVU because when they tell you they are really about players first, they are . I really see the vision Coach Brown has for this team and it felt like I had a connection with all the football players which really played a big part in this recruiting process. Everything about WVU checked out on my check list, the location, the school spirit and the coaches.” Okoli informed DubVNation.

“I’m excited about the fans because this sport is all they got in the state, so just acknowledging the fact that I am part of something bigger than me makes me excited and can’t wait to make plays.” Okoli added.

Okoli also visited West Virginia last weekend for a camp as well where he stood out and was given an offer by the coaches. He was recruited as a wide receiver and cornerback, but will likely play receiver.
