Another successful recruiting weekend is just about in the books for the West Virginia coaching staff as they were able to lock up a couple of commitments and gain interest from other recruits.

Earlier today, we spoke with class of 2020 linebacker Quentin Williams of Mallard Creek HS/Charlotte, NC, who offered his thoughts on the visit.

“The environment and facilities are impressive. I was surprised. Coach Brown has done great things in the past and has changed things here already. The players LOVE him.” Williams said. “Coach Lesley is a good man, down to Earth, and a man that speaks from the heart. I feel comfortable with him. Coach Koenning is funny, he’s a defensive genius.” he added.

Williams played with incoming freshman offensive lineman Parker Moorer for three seasons at Mallard Creek and the two have a pretty strong relationship, which is noteworthy.

Williams confirmed that he still plans on making his decision in August. He holds offers from North Carolina, Miami, Virginia Tech and many others.

Stay tuned for the latest updates on Williams’ recruitment.
