This weekend, West Virginia hosted several top recruits including class of 2020 wide receiver Bryce Gowdy (6’2″ 185 lbs) of Deerfield Beach, FL.

After spending a couple days in Morgantown, Gowdy had some good things to say about his trip. “It was lit, I had a great time! The atmosphere was really nice, the whole area was natural and I love nature a lot.” Gowdy said. “The facilities are very nice too and they’re also building a new one in 2020 which is exciting.” he added.

With the new culture being established at WVU, Gowdy also pointed out the bright future of the program, “They have a high ceiling and even the players notice, a new era is upon us.” He then offered his thoughts on the coaching staff whom he has a good rapport with, “He (Coach Trickett) recruited a lot of guys at my high school to Georgia State, so I’m very familiar with him. He is real cool and not that flashy, but has a lot of substance.”

Gowdy also informed DubVNation that he does have a top list of schools, but is not ready to announce those yet at this time, although West Virginia is one of them.

Stay tuned to DubVNation for the latest on Gowdy’s recruitment.
