BREAKING: West Virginia names Xavier Dye as new wide receivers coach
Morgantown, WV – This morning, West Virginia officially hired Clemson’s Xavier Dye as the new wide receivers coach, which is a position many have been waiting on to be filled.
Dye spent two seasons on Clemson’s coaching staff as a graduate assistant and worked mainly with the receivers group under co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott. Prior to his position at Clemson, he served as quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator at Woodmont High School in South Carolina and spent one year as an assistant at Western Carolina. Dye also played for the Clemson Tigers from 2007-10 and hauled in 28 receptions for 412 yards and 4 touchdowns during his career.
He comes from a winning culture and is highly thought of by Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney.
