WVU Product Gary Jennings Works Out for NFL Team

Can WVU product Gary Jennings find his way into the NFL? Well, he took a step in that direction by earning a workout with the Los Angeles Chargers on Tuesday, per the NFL Transaction Wire.

Since his time as a Mountaineer from 2015-18, Jennings has bounced around on various NFL practice squads and XFL and then UFL teams, most recently the St. Louis BattleHawks (2023, 2025 and the Birmingham Stallions, respectively.

Jennings was drafted in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, but spent most of his NFL journey bouncing around the league on practice squads. He was a second-team All-Big 12 player for WVU in 2017.
