Computer Rankings Still Favor WVU After 0-3 Big 12 Start

West Virginia has struggled to get it going so far in conference play, starting out 0-3 in the Big 12. WVU has lost to Kansas State and Oklahoma State on the road and dropped the home opener against now-No. 2 Kansas over the weekend.
Despite the slow start, the computer rankings still favor West Virginia and show hope in their remaining schedule.
WVU’s updated rankings (as of 1/9):
NET / 19
KenPom / 23
Sagarin / 37
RPI / 25

West Virginia’s best wins so far are against Pitt, Florida and UAB. WVU is 1-5 in quad-1 games and 9-0 in the non-quad-1 games.
Mountaineers will look to secure their first conference win of the season when they host Baylor on Wednesday. Baylor is also looking for their first win in the Big 12. WVU and BU will tipoff at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
