DL James Gmiter Signs LOI

Published

on

James Gmiter, one of the first recruits to pledge his services to the Mountaineers, has signed with West Virginia.

Gmiter (Bethel Park, PA) only has two offers to his name (Wisconsin, West Virginia), but would have received much more attention if he didn’t shut down his recruitment early. The 6-foot-3 and 310-pound bruiser was named to a handful of All-State and All-Region teams as a senior and will add immediate depth to a lacking defensive line group in Morgantown. Gmiter was asked if the potential of playing early had a factor in his decision on the Between the Eers podcast, “It does, they don’t mind playing young kids and I like that. That’s another reason why I chose West Virginia. They like to take chances on you and they trust you.”

Gmiter will be enrolling in June.
