In his first game for the Kentucky Wildcats, former West Virginia player Oscar Tshiebwe showed out against Duke in the State Farm Champions Classic on Tuesday night.

Tshiebwe finished with a double-double in Madison Square Garden, recording 17 points and 19 rebounds. The 6-foot-9 forward shot 8-of-14 from the field and had two blocks. Tshiebwe collected 12 offensive rebounds in the loss against the Blue Devils, yes, 12.

Tshiebwe was able to rally Kentucky to taking the lead early-on in the second half, but Duke was able to pull away, wining 79-71.

Current New York Knick Miles “Deuce” McBride attended the game, watching his former teammate dominate the floor for the first time in almost a year. This was Tshiebwe’s first colligate game since Dec. 29 when he was still suiting up for the Mountaineers.
