Meet the 2026-27 WVU Basketball Team: Emerging Front-Court Presence Amadou Seini

WVU basketball seems to have struck gold when it comes to recruiting from Bella Vista Prep in five-star point guard Miles Sadler. However, head coach Ross Hodge also seems to have found a solid depth piece at the center position in Amadou Seini.

Standing at 7-foot-1 with a 7-foot-5 wingspan, Seini was a four-star coming out of prep school. He was the 10th-ranked center in his class and the 81st overall recruit in the 2026 class.

According to analyst Jon Rothstein, Seini has made an early impression in practice.

At the Chipotle Nationals, Seini averaged 11 points and 9.3 rebounds en route to Bella Vista winning the championship. He made his presence known with a 15-point, 18-rebound performance in the semifinals.

Seini is a project player with plenty of raw talent. He is comfortable enough on offense to finish lobs at the rim with the mobility to be an effective paint protector on defense.

Even with such a monstrous frame, Seini has the coordination needed to be a difference-maker on the boards. Now that he’s entering his second straight season with his prep school teammate in Sadler, Seini could contribute more than expected to this WVU squad.
