A month adter deciding to search for a third college program, former WVU quarterback Ryder Burton has found his new home. On Monday morning, Burton revealed he’s going to transfer to UAB.

Burton left West Virginia after signing on just six months prior. Burton, who spent 2023 as a redshirt with BYU, did not see game action in 2024. He entered the transfer portal on Dec. 18.
Prior to college, Burton was a three-star recruit out of Springville High School in Utah. 247 Sports ranked Burton the No. 66 quarterback prospect in his class. He threw for just shy of 2,000 yards and 21 touchdowns during his senior season.
