MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The 2-3 Mountaineer football team is in Texas this weekend for its third conference game of the season. At 12 p.m. EST, the Baylor Bears (4-1) welcome West Virginia to McLane Stadium for the fourth time. The series, which began with WVU’s inclusion in the Big 12 Conference in 2012, is in WVU’s possession 6-3. WVU head coach Neal Brown is on the hunt for a road win to break his team’s 0-6 road loss streak, and Waco is the perfect place to do it. The Mountaineers are 1-3 at McLane Stadium, adding the single win in 2017 to the tune of a too-close-for-comfort 38-36 victory.

2020 issued the series its first overtime, and furthermore first double overtime. WVU won in Morgantown off a Leddie Brown three-yard rush to seal the series’ sixth WVU win. Now, the Mountaineers and Bears, under second-season head coach Dave Aranda, are set to clash for the 10th time, and it’s truly anyone’s game. The Bears are only 2.5 point favorites, and four of the last five meetings of these teams have been decided by less than a touchdown. It’s classic, shootout football, and we’ll have all your pregame updates leading up to the noon kickoff right here.
