Geno Smith Does it Again: WVU Great Leads Seahawks to Win with Late Touchdowns
Geno Smith continues to do what’s needed for the Seahawks this season. And he was not to be denied while leading his team to a comeback win on Sunday.
Smith guided Seattle to two fourth quarter touchdowns to pull away from the Giants and stay at the top of the NFC West. The West Virginia all-time great threw for 212 yards and two touchdowns while completing 23 out of 34 pass attempts. He also ran for 12 yards. His day equaled another 100+ rating game at exactly 104.

NFL Analyst Dan Orlovsky Details Geno Smith’s Brilliant Season to Date for Seahawks
Even though it took him almost a decade to get another opportunity at being a full-time NFL starter, WVU fans know all about what Smith is capable of. He remains one of the most prolific players in WVU history as the all-time passing yards and passing touchdowns leader with 11,662 yards and 98 touchdowns. He played from 2009-12 before being a second round selection by the New York Jets in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Smith’s new teammate in Seattle and fellow Mountaineer Bruce Irvin recored a tackle in his second game back with the Seahawks.
The pair of WVU greats on the Seahawks earned the win over another West Virginia product. David Sills V caught one ball for 5 yards for the Giants.
