Huggins and Team React to Marquette Loss

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Following Marquette handing West Virginia their first loss of the season, players and Bob Huggins reacted to the loss.

Huggins had some words to say on the post-game radio show with Tony Caridi and Jay Jacobs.

“I mean every game we’ve had, we’ve come out and played pretty good in the first half and came out as flat as could be in the second half,” Huggins said.

Huggins then ranted about how well his team starts but can’t ever transition the great first half play with the second half.

Caridi asked Huggins how they’re going to fix the consistency and defense problems quickly. Huggins was honest with his answer and doesn’t think that they’ll be able to fix anything before their next game on Sunday.

“I don’t know. I could lie to you, but I don’t know,” Huggins said.

The players took it to social media to react to the loss to the Golden Eagles. Taz Sherman, Keddy Johnson and Jalen Bridges all took accountability. Johnson did have something to say about the fouls calls on him by the officials on Friday night.
