It’s official. The last time everyone got the pleasure of watching Gary Jennings in the old gold and blue was on his senior night against Oklahoma.

Jennings sure did go out with a bang against the Sooners though. With having caught seven passes and turning them into a phenomenal 225 yards and two touchdowns, the performance helped Jennings secure his spot tied for 10th all-time at WVU in touchdown receptions with 17.

Unlike his teammates Trevon Wesco, Yodny Cajuste, David Sills and Will Grier, Jennings was not invited to the Reese’s Senior bowl Game.

So, who should Mountaineer fans expect to see in his place? Well, thanks to the new redshirt rule, WVU fans will likely be seeing some of the young talent in the receiver room. True freshmen Bryce Wheaton, Sam James, Randy Fields and maybe even Dillon Spalding if he is healthy enough to go are all good options.

More experienced options would be two seniors in Dominique Maiden and Will Crest.

We also might be seeing an extended role for backup tight end Jovanni Haskins, as Wesco will be heading the the draft after this year. Haskins transferred from Miami University with starting quarterback Jack Allison.
