Jesse Edwards Bounces Back After Minimal Impact in Summer League Debut
In his second NBA summer league game, former West Virginia center Jesse Edwards bounced back with a solid bench performance for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Edwards recorded seven points, six rebounds, a steal and a block in 16 minutes. The 6-foot-11 big man shot 3-of-6 from the field and 1-of-4 from the free throw line. The Timberwolves defeated the Indiana Pacers 105-94 on Sunday.

In Edwards’ first summer league game on Friday, he played 17 minutes but not having much impact with two fouls and a plus-minus of -9.
Edwards worked his way to a two-way deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves following the draft. Edwards was invited to the NBA draft combine, where he spent a week in Chicago with other prospects.
The former Mountaineer and Syracuse Orange played in the Reeseโs Division-I All-Star Game during the Final Four weekend in Phoenix, Az. The 6-foot-11 big man finished with eight points, nine rebounds and two blocks in 16 minutes. Edwards also recorded eight points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks during the final game of the G League Elite Camp session.
Edwards averaged 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocks through 23 games with the Mountaineers. Edwards was sidelined for over a month with a fractured right wrist from December to January.
