Jovon Durante to Transfer from WVU

After weeks of concern over Jovon Durante’s absence from the football team due to “personal issues”, the junior wide receiver took to Twitter to announce his intent to transfer from West Virginia and enroll at Florida Atlantic University.

“I would also like to thank the great state of West Virginia and the WVU football team, coaching staff,” Durante said in his statement. “After talking things over with my parents, I decided to further my education at Florida Atlantic University.”

Durante finished his career as a Mountaineer with 709 yards and 7 touchdowns. He will join former West Virginia quarterback Clint Trickett and former Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin in Boca Raton for the 2018 season after sitting out the upcoming season due to NCAA transfer rules.
