After a long wait to return to the court for the Knicks, former WVU basketball guard Miles “Deuce” McBride left his first game back in the third quarter after suffering an injury Sunday.

McBride underwent a sports hernia surgery in February and made it back to the court ahead of schedule. The injury occurred when McBride collided with a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder while diving for a loose ball.

The Knicks play the Houston Rockets Tuesday and McBride is listed as questionable.

โ€œI havenโ€™t talked to medical yet, so I donโ€™t know how bad it is. But itโ€™s tough,โ€ head coach Mike Brown said after the game. โ€œHeโ€™s worked his tail off to be back. And I donโ€™t think he made a shot in the first half, but he gave us a lift. You felt his presence.”

McBride, 25, has averages of 12.9 points, 2.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game in 35 games. Heโ€™s averaging just over 28 minutes per night.
