Mountaineers in the Pros: Daxter Miles Returns to Mad Ants for Upcoming G League Season

Former West Virginia basketball great Daxter Miles Jr. will return to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants for his second season playing in the NBA’s G League the Mad Ants announced this week.

Miles was acquired by the Mad Ants partway through last season. In 21 games, he averaged 14.4 points while shooting 43.2% from the floor. Prior to joining Fort Wayne, Miles played for the Northern Arizona Suns in 2018-19 and the beginning of the 2019-20 season.

Miles graduated from WVU in 2018 scoring over 1,000 career points and ranking second all-time with 124 career starts. He went undrafted in the 2018 NBA draft and signed a two-way contract with the Sacramento Kings. He was drafted in the second round by the Iowa Wolves in the G League Draft.

The 2021 G League season is set to be played at a single site, the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, and is scheduled to begin in February.
