It’s no secret West Virginia is looking to rebuild its secondary after the unit struggled throughout the 2022 season.

The Mountaineers have been sending offers to transfers and recruits from all classes to ensure a strong group, both in the immediate and long term future. The coaching staff has been busy visiting recruits and commits they are really serious about too. One of those players is cornerback Amare Snowden, a four-star prospect in the 2023 class.

Snowden, a senior at Roseville High School in Roseville, Michigan, lists himself at 6’3” and 193 pounds in his Twitter bio. He tweeted about the visit from WVU on Thursday.

Snowden is a highly sought after athlete who also has experience at wide receiver. He’s received offers from Wisconsin, Cincinnati, where he was previously committed, Indiana, Pitt, Penn State, Colorado, Kansas and Maryland among others. He has a visit with Wisconsin scheduled for this weekend.
