WVU Football WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton Celebrates Touchdown

It may not have happened how he hoped, but it appears Bryce Ford-Wheaton is still getting his opportunity at the NFL.

After going undrafted, Ford-Wheaton has signed with the New York Giants. This was first reported by ESPN’s Jordan Raanan and then subtly confirmed by Ford-Wheaton himself by tweeting an emoji of the Statue of Liberty.

Despite his impressive testing numbers at the NFL Combine, especially his time in the 40-yard dash, the WVU wide receiver product was not drafted.

Ford-Wheaton, listed at 6-foot-4 and 221 pounds, was vocal about feeling he’s being disrespected by those who don’t think that much of his NFL potential. He reiterated this by saying “I know people are sleeping on me” at the NFL Combine. It was from that point on that those previously unaware or doubting the WVU product began noticing him. He even voiced he feels he’s done everything he can to show NFL teams what he can offer at WVU’s Pro Day.
