Postgame Reaction from WVU’s Backyard Brawl Win over Pitt

PITTSBURGH — Bob Huggins was pleased with his team’s performance Friday night after the Mountaineers defeated the Pitt Panthers 68-53 in the 168th installment of the Backyard Brawl. The WVU defense held the Panthers to 3-of-25 shooting in the second half after successfully wearing down Pitt’s guards in the first half. Freshman Oscar Tshiebwe led all players with 20 points and 17 rebounds.
