Report: Ex-WVU Player Mike Villagrana to be Marshall Football’s General Manager

Former West Virginia University tight end and current Mississippi State director of recruiting Mike Villagrana is expected to be hired as the general manager for the football program at Marshall, according to The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman.

Villangrana, a tight end for the Mountaineers from 2004 through 2007, will join first-year MU coach Charles Huff’s staff in the newly created role in Huntington. Also, Austin Peay director of football operations Camie Cole-Nations and Cleveland Browns staff member Luke Haker will join the Marshall’s staff as assistant directors of football operations, according to Feldman.
