Football Scoop has been all over who will be joining new Marshall University football coach Charles Huff’s staff and had more names to report on Saturday morning.

According to the report, former West Virginia University quarterback Clint Trickett will join the Thundering Herd as a receivers coach.

Trickett began his playing career at Florida State before transferring to WVU, where he wrapped up a solid career in 2014. From there, the son of longtime college assistant coach Rick Trickett and brother of current WVU tight ends coach Travis Trickett got his start in coaching at East Mississippi Community College — where he was featured on the Netflix documentary series Last Chance U. Trickett was hired by Lane Kiffin at Florida Atlantic as a tight ends coach .Following Kiffin’s departure from Boca Raton, Trickett stayed on staff and served as the Owls’ co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2020, though he was fired from those positions earlier this month.

In addition to Trickett, Football Scoop also reported that Eddy Morrissey, most recently of Austin Peay but also with stints at Mississippi State and Princeton among others, will be hired as Marshall’s next offensive line coach.
