The Richmond Spiders finished last season 27-4, 14-2 in the A-10. Their top returner is guard Blake Francis, who led the team with 17.7 points per game last season.
With the exact start of the 2020-21 season up in the air and not all of the schedule logistics yet announced, WVU’s non-conference schedule is very much unknown at this point in time.
In the past, Rothstein has reported that the 2020-21 basketball season will begin on Nov. 25 and that WVU will play Georgetown in the Big East/Big 12 Battle.
WVU will also reportedly play in an event in South Dakota that would have previously been the 2020 Battle 4 Atlantis. The Battle 4 Atlantis has been canceled, but the same field of teams will reportedly still participate. Those teams are; Duke, WVU, Memphis, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Utah, Creighton and Wichita State.
