Class of 2020 cornerback Shelton Quarles Jr. (Tampa, FL) was on hand today for the WVU Showtime Camp and came away very impressed.

“It went very well!! I loved every minute of it! I’ve never been to West Virginia before and the scenery and facilities were just fascinating to me.” Quarles Jr. said. “The coaching staff was very welcoming and taught me numerous things.” he added.

The lead recruiter for Quarles Jr. is cornerbacks coach Jahmile Addae, who he is building a stronger bond with every day. “We’ve talked on several occasions. He’s come to my old school a few times and talked about football, family, etc. He’s a really cool dude.”

When asked about how much he would consider West Virginia throughout his recruitment he replied, “For sure a place I will deeply consider. I haven’t put too much thought into making another visit yet. It wouldn’t hurt to go back up there and watch a football game though!”

Quarles Jr. loves what he sees from the program and also believes its one of the best in the country. “It is a very successful program that has had plenty of college and NFL stars. The Big 12 is a very competitive conference and I feel like that’s a reason why West Virginia breeds such great football players.”

Although there is no set decision date at the moment, he told DubVNation that, “Towards the end of the summer when school time is about to start, my family and I are going to have a conversation about who’s my number one and what are my options and all that good stuff.”
