In the latest bracketology update by ESPN’s Joe Lunardi, West Virginia continues to move down the seed lines as the days go. Lunardi has placed WVU at a No. 11 seed, on Tuesday morning. On Monday, Lunardi had the Mountaineers in the ‘last four byes.’

1. Baylor

16. Colgate

8. BYU

9. Davidson

5. Alabama

12. UAB

4. Tennessee

13. Chattanooga

6. UConn

11. West Virginia

3. Wisconsin

14. Wagner

7. Iowa State

10. Saint Mary’s

2. Duke

15. Arkansas State

After three straight losses, the Mountaineers are put in a near must-win situation against Oklahoma on Wednesday. WVU has two quad-two games remaining on the schedule (Oklahoma, TCU), which are games the Mountaineers need to win. The rest of the schedule is all quad-one games.

In this projected first round matchup, Lunardi has West Virginia playing UConn again, this time in Buffalo, New York. The Mountaineers defeated the Huskies, 56-53, on Dec. 8 without UConn’s Adama Sanogo and Tyrese Martin.

Big 12 Seedings:

Baylor – 1 Seed
Kansas – 2 Seed
Texas Tech – 3 Seed
Iowa State – 7 Seed
Texas – 7 Seed
Oklahoma – 10 Seed
TCU – 11 Seed
West Virginia – 11 Seed
Kansas State – Next Four Out

Every Big 12 team that is eligible for the NCAA Tournament is involved in Lunardi’s bracketology update in some way. Oklahoma State is the only school not mentioned due to them being ineligible for the NCAA Tournament due to breaking recruiting rules.
