West Virginia Football Pays Tribute to Late Alum Chris Gray on 20th Anniversary of 9/11
The tragic events of September 11, 2001 saw families across America lose loved ones and continue to have a lasting impact on the country. Now on the 20th anniversary, West Virginia’s football family pays tribute to one of their own lost due to the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Former WVU quarterback Chris Gray was working in one of the World Trade Center towers on that fateful day. He was 32-years-old.
Gray was a member of the Mountaineers football team from 1988 to 1991, serving as a backup quarterback throughout his tenure.
The late Mountaineer is honored at WVU with the Chris Gray Memorial Scholarship.
