West Virginia Learns When 3-Star OL Cameron Herron Will Announce Commitment
Cameron Herron will have more than just America’s Independence to celebrate on July 4th. On Friday, Herron set his commitment date and will reveal his college destination on the Fourth of July.
Herron has already narrowed down his choices to a group of six that includes Boston College, Cincinnati, Iowa, Louisville, Nebraska and WVU.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 275 pounds, Herron is a three-star offensive lineman out of Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, In.
A junior All-State student player, Herron is considered a top 20 Indiana prospect and a three-star recruit by three national recruiting outlets. On3 Sports, 247 Sports and Rivals all place Herron among the top 70 interior offensive lineman in the country. Rivals even has Herron as high up as No. 28.
Cameron Herron had 23 Division I offers on May 10, when he decided to keep the Mountaineers in the running as he cut that large list down. Herron visited West Virginia on April 12 and completed an official visit on June 8, a week after doing the same with Cincinnati.
Boston College, Iowa and Northwestern are believed to be the front runners, but WVU remains a contender along with Cincinnati. Duke, Indiana, Iowa State, Pitt and Purdue are some of the major programs to offer Herron who did not make the cut.
