West Virginia Loses on 2023 C Austin Parks to Ohio State

On Sunday afternoon, 2023 C Austin Parks made the announcement at St. Mary’s Memorial High School that he will commit to Ohio State. Parks (6-foot-10, 240 pounds), a 3-star out of Ohio, will join OSU head coach Chris Holtman.

Earlier this week, Parks narrowed his list down to Indiana, Ohio State and West Virginia.
Back in September, the West Virginia coaching staff watched Parks work out, after offering the high school junior a scholarship in July. As a sophomore, Parks averaged 14.1 points and 7.3 rebounds for St. Mary’s Memorial High School.
West Virginia will now look ahead to getting a member to commit of the class of 2023. Current WVU forward James Okonkwo was in that class, but reclassified to the class of 2021 last summer.
