Last week, the Mountaineers offered class of 2020 offensive lineman Marcus Harper Jr. of Simeon HS in Chicago, Illinois. Harper recently decommitted from Illinois on April 7th and put himself back on the market.

Harper told DubVNation that receiving an offer from West Virginia was “truly an honor” and mentioned how they are coming off of a great season. He also added, “I know by playing in the Big 12 I’ll be going against some of the best players across the country. It is a hard conference to play in.”

He did mention that a player that sticks out to him is former West Virginia offensive lineman and now New England Patriot, Yodny Cajuste.

Harper does intend on visiting in the future, but a date has not been set. He also holds offers from Louisville, Iowa State, Purdue, Illinois, Indiana and a few others.
