West Virginia to Play Florida on Sunday For PK85 Fifth Place Game
PORTLAND — With West Virginia’s 89-71 win over Portland State, the Mountaineers will take on Florida on Sunday at the Chiles Center, the University of Portland’s gym. Time is set for 8:30 p.m. est. with ESPNU taking the coverage.
Florida lost to Xavier in the first round before beating Oregon State on Friday. West Virginia lost to No. 24 Purdue on Thursday and then beat Portland State.
West Virginia Bounces Back with 89-71 Win Over Portland State in PK85
During the offseason, Florida hired former San Francisco coach Todd Golden to replace Mike White. Golden recruited the transfer portal well bringing in Will Richard (Belmont), Kyle Lofton (St. Bonaventure) and Adam Fudge (LSU). Pair that around with returning two-time All-SEC recipient Colin Castleton and you have a solid core. The Gators were upset last week by Florida Atlantic.
