WVU Basketball Recruiting
WVU Basketball Staff Hosted Popular 2025 Center
Even though he won’t be able to help this season, the WVU basketball staff are pursuing a top big to bring to West Virginia. To that end, the Mountaineers recently hosted a 7-foot-1 prospect as part of their 2025 recruiting.
Following his trip to WVU, Fridrik Leo Curtis opened up about his experience in Morgantown on social media.
“Had a good time on an official visit to West Virginia. Would like to thank Coach Devries and the whole coaching staff for a great visit!,” said Curtis on Wednesday.

Curtis’ visit came on the heels of receiving an official offer from WVU in late September.
A foreign prospect from Iceland, Curtis has steadily been gaining attention from major programs all across the United States. Alabama, Arizona State, Indiana, Stanford, UCF and Xavier are all also in the mix for Curtis.
Curtis, 19, currently attends Cambridge Arts, Technology and Science (CATS) Academy in Massachusetts. He would then be 20-years-old by the time he starts college at West Virginia or any of the other school.
Prior to his time at WVU, Curtis visited Arizona State as well.
