Beanie Bishop is a consensus All-America. The WVU defensive back earns All-American honors from every major recognized outlet who offers the award.

This recognition solidifies Bishop as one last year’s best transfer additions in the country.

Bishop recorded 59 total tackles and four interceptions during the regular season, his best statistical numbers for one season in his college career. He transferred to WVU following one season in the Big Ten with Minnesota and four at Western Kentucky.

West Virginia head coach Neal Brown had this to say as part of the program’s press release with the news. “Beanie has had an outstanding season and is very deserving of Consensus All-America honors. Everyone associated with the Mountaineer football program is proud of him and what he has accomplished this year. He has been an excellent leader and great representative for Mountaineer Football, the University and the state.”
