WVU Football received a PWO commitment from 2024 WR Mykel Davis on Tuesday afternoon. Davis is a high school senior at Wheeling Park High School in Wheeling, W.Va. Davis made the announcement on his social media pages.

“100% Committed,” Davis wrote on X (Twitter). Davis also included a note in his post saying the following:

“First off, I would like to thank the man above for blessing me with my talent and for putting me in the position I am in today. Secondly, I would like to thank my family, friends, and coaches for supporting me through every step of my career! Thank you to the staff of West Virginia University for believing in me and giving me this great opportunity. Lastly, I would like to thank every coach for taking the time out to evaluate me and give me an opportunity to play at their university. With that being said, for the next four years I will be continuing my academic and athletics career at WVU!”

Davis (6-foot-2) recorded 828 receiving yards with 11 touchdowns during his senior campaign.

Davis joins recent PWO commit Murphy Clement, a Martinsburg High School product. Murphy is the younger brother of current WVU WR Hudson Clement.
