WVU Football Offers Athletic WR Also Being Pursued by SEC School
The WVU football staff sent an offer to another versatile offensive talent in Darryl Blackmon.
Listed at about 6-foot-3 and 212 pounds, Blackmon revealed his West Virginia offer on Tuesday, Feb. 24. He added WVU to his offer list that also includes a recent offer from Mississippi State.
Blackmon is a true athlete at Rain High School in Mobile, Ala., but is viewed as a wide receiver at the college level. WVU senior offensive assistant Travis Trickett is Blackmon’s lead recruiter.
In addition to WVU and MSU, he has offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Liberty, Purdue, Troy, Tulane among others. On3 Sports ranks Blackmon as a three-star prospect and as their No. 9 player out of Alabama and No. 47 wide receiver in the country for his class.
