WVU Football WR recruit Kobby Howard at Miami visit

The WVU football staff made class of 2025 wide receiver Koby Howard one of their highest ranked recruits so far by sending him an offer. Howard announced his offer from the Mountaineers on Wednesday.

After an eye-popping 2023 season that saw Howard make 65 catches for 1,065 yards despite missing a few games, he has already earned a four-star rating from a major recruiting outlet. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Howard is a Florida based prospect out of Chaminade-Madonna Prep.

Rivals, the outlet who has awarded Howard four stars has him ranked as the No. 22 player in Florida and the No. 23 wide receiver in the country. On3.com and 247 Sports both have Howard as a three-star recruit and within the top 50 Florida players in his class.

West Virginia wide receivers coach Bilal Marshall will be the lead recruiter on Howard, but WVU will also have tons of competition for a player of this caliber. Howard currently has other offers from Florida, Florida State and Miami (FL)  in his home state and also schools like Auburn, Colorado, Georgia, Penn State, Pitt, Syracuse, Tennessee, LSU, Notre Dame and Wisconsin nationally.
