WVU WR Jaden Bray’s Season Cut Short Again
For another unfortunate injury update, WVU wide receiver Jaden Bray is expected to miss the rest of the season. This now marks the second consecutive year Bray has been unable to play beyond Week 2. Much like the Jahiem White news, Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports was first.
Bray left West Virginia’s loss to Ohio after catching seven passes for 95 yards through two games this season. With big expectations placed on the veteran for 2025, Bray was placed on the national Comeback Player of the Year Watch List in late August.
โI think heโs going to be poised for a really good year,โ offered Rodriguez about Bray following one of the final fall camp practices. Rodriguez even added that heโs been โreally impressedโ with Bray whenever he tests his receivers.
Bray, who transferred to WVU ahead of the 2024 season, was in this same spot one year ago โ a player viewed as a big piece for the offense. But unfortunately for the Oklahoma native, his first season as a Mountaineer was also cut short โ he caught just two passes for 88 yards.
Bray made 30 receptions for 382 yards and scored two touchdowns in 10 games for an Oklahoma State team that reached the Big 12 Championship Game.
